Veteran Sport Australia (VSA) is a national program operated by Australian International Military Games, the organisation that ran the Invictus Games Sydney 2018. The program aims to improve the health and wellbeing of veterans by using the vehicle of sport and recreation.
VSA’s goal is to connect veterans and their families to a variety of sports and recreation opportunities through collaboration, as well as providing veterans with support to attend camps and competitive events.
Reporting to the VSA Director, Veteran Engagement and Community Participation, the Veteran Engagement Specialist will be responsible for connecting with NSW South Coast based veterans and their families; to encourage them to improve their health and wellbeing through sport.
This role is on the frontline of VSA operations and will have responsibility for collaborating with stakeholders, including with potential sport and recreation program service providers and ex-service organisations, and advocating on behalf of the program.
